fast schon exzessive Granularität bei den Filtermöglichkeiten von FriendFeed (afaik ist das das erste tool mit der eingebauten möglichkeit zur selbstauslöschung)
(on a sidenote: in letzter zeit liest man nicht selten, wie noisy und rauschbelastet friendfeed ist, dass 70% gezwitscher ist, blablabla. i don’t get it. alle tweets lassen sich, wenn man sie nicht sehen will, mit einem klick ausblenden, wie auch alles andere auch, was einem too much wird. friendfeed ist, was die infoökonomische personalisierbarkeit betrifft, wahrscheinlich das tool mit den besten filtermöglichkeiten überhaupt)

hmm, CallVerifID von MyOpenId ruft den stolzen Besitzer einer openID bei via openID getätigten Einloggungen mal kurz an, um zu verifizieren, ob man das auch selbst ist, der sich da einloggt. (via)
(die verkaufsargumente, die für so was sprechen, fallen interessanterweise mit den argumenten zusammen, die ganz grundsätzlich gegen openid sprechen: ja wollen sie denn wirklich riskieren, dass bösartige individuen, die sich zugang zu ihrem account verschaffen, dann gleich schlaraffenlandigen zugriff auf alle ihre 500 services (übrigens: hier können sie openid bei services anfordern, damit sie wirklich alles an ihre openid koppeln können) bekommen? etc.; gleichzeitig ist das zwar sicher sicherer, aber wirft einen anderen rattenschwanz an problemen auf, was ist, wenn man sein handy nicht mit hat, oder wenn es gestohlen wird usw.)

Google Availability
Hui pt. 2, auch Google steht laut Techcrunch schon in den Startlöchern und wird am Montag ein Ding namens Friend Connect nicht nur ankündigen, sondern sogar launchen.
Like Data Availability and Facebook Connect, Google’s Friend Connect will be a way to securely send personal profile data, including friend lists, presence/status information, etc., to third party applications, say our sources. The primary benefit of these services is to allow users to maintain a single friends list and to coordinate social activities across different sites that perform different services.
The reason these companies are are rushing to get products out the door is because whoever is a player in this space is likely to control user data over the long run. If users don’t have to put profile and friend information into multiple sites, they will gravitate towards one site that they identify with, and then allow other sites to access that data. The desire to own user identities over the long run is also causing the big Internet companies, in my opinion, to rush to become OpenID issuers (but not relying parties).

Auf die Frage ob das stimmt, dass für das Y Combinator Programm ausgewählte Startups nach dem Anruf tatsächlich nur 5 Minuten Zeit haben sich zu entscheiden und ansonsten ganz einfach den IQ Test nicht bestehen:
The “IQ test” quote refers not to how fast they have to decide, but the amount of equity we usually ask for. In the median case it’s 6%. If we take 6%, we have to improve a startup’s outcome by 6.4% for them to end up net ahead. That’s a ridiculously low bar. So the IQ test is whether they grasp that.
