Liebe.de Burda In Love

German dating site Liebe.de (love.de) probably was acquired by Burda Digital Ventures. No announcements have been made, but the domain has been transferred already and an entry in the commercial register names Frank Seehaus – who besides Christoph Braun is the CEO of Burda Digital Ventures – as new CEO of Liebe.de. Hat tip to W&V for digging this up.

Liebe.de has come into the years design and functionality wise, the main reason of the purchase might have been the domain name, W&V has informations which suggest that they will completely revamp the site.

Other investments of Burda Digital Ventures include abebooks, edelight, Etsy, HolidayCheck, Nachtagenten, NowHere, Sevenload, Tripsbytips (see). Burda recently also has teamed up with ElitePartners – another site for singles.
