update zu Replies Settings … leider war das hallelujah etwas verfrüht weil während man nun zwar den aggregierten Rauschpegel adjustieren kann, so löst es doch nicht die zugrundeliegende Ursache der Inkompatibilitätsklassen, man müsste das granularer und auf einer per Following’ers Basis einstellen können, ansonsten hat man erst wieder das Überichproblem der erzwungenen Wahl.

Das Gute an der ganzen beacon Geschichte war, dass Umair Haque endlich einen Stein gefunden hat, den er theoretisch zerreiben und an dem er sich – ok, etwas repetitiv – freischreiben konnte.

(neben den offensichtlicheren interaktionskosten – das rauschen nimmt zu etc. – hat beacon egal wie sie das noch anpassen natürlich noch massivste vertrauenskosten, sie haben die linie überschritten und ab jetzt traut man ihnen einfach alles zu, und – wahrscheinlich das ‘teuerste’ – systemische entkopplungskosten sprich nach innen werden verbindungen gekappt bzw. unwahrscheinlicher und nach aussen wird ein bedürfnis nach einem gegen facebook isolierenden filz überhaupt erst erzeugt)

hallelujah, bei Twitter kann man jetzt in den Settings einstellen, wie man @twitteree replies angezeigt bekommen möchte (alle, nur twitteros die man auch verfolgt, keine)
(bei twitter ist ja das schöne, dass jeder seine eigenen kommunikativen techniken entwickeln kann, allerdings kann es dabei natürlich zu inkompatibilitätsszenarien kommen, weil einige wenige die twitter in erster linie als massively multiplayer online role-playing chat verwenden doch den aufmerksamkeitskanal recht schnell überfluten und verstopfen können, was bis dato nur über follow/unfollow ausdifferenzierbar war.)
