Plazes Adds Support Of iCalendar Format

Plazes has added support of iCalendar format which brings it one step closer at being the ultimate lifecaching platform.

If you don’t know plazes: it is a Berlin based service which lets you share what you are doing and where you are doing it; you can fill it via the web, the PC or via SMS and you can use it to discover locations or hook up with people near to your current location.

Every member can grab his activity stream as .ics file at

http://plazes.com/users/[username]/activities.ics

and import it into the calendar application of choice.

This is great for self-documentary purposes, but it also could be used as a super-ego type of feedback which helps you to improve your productivity by overlaying the calendar you use to organise what you want or have to do and the calendar plazes generates based on what you have actually done. You can easily spot discrepancies or periods of procrastination which might help you discover patterns and work on them.
