Web 2.0 The Movie

Three students of Stuttgart Media University have started to produce a documentary movie dubbed Web 2.0 – der Film [Web 2.0 – The Movie] which shall introduce this topic to a broader audience.

Web 2.0 – The Movie wants to explain the German Web 2.0 scene by documenting the strategies and motivations of the protagonists. Based on statements we also want to explain the history of the term and how its meaning changed over time. The movie wants to shed some light on the environment of the companies which develop Web 2.0 platforms. Events like Barcamps, Wiki-Wednesdays, Congresses etc. will be documented.

They also want to critically reflect upon the chances and risks of Web 2.0, find out whether we are in a bubble or not, etc. True to the spirit of openness they are documenting the making of on their blog and open to any suggestion. We will report back when they are done.
