Mach Du Das Matches Jobs Between People

Hamburg based mach du das is a new marketplace for services. Since the site is demand driven – users add jobs they want to have done and “competent jobber from your neighborhood will apply for the job for a fixed hourly wage” mach du das is complementary to Beeings which we have covered earlier this month.

Jobs can be posted, associated with a category (Car/Motorcycle, Internet, Personal, Transport/Move, Technology, Business, Around the house, Creativity, Errands, Other) and geolocated via Google Maps. People who feel confident to get a job done can apply for it or ask clarifying questions and if both users come to an agreement mach du das charges a commission of three Euro.

The site has a charming simplicity and I like the fact that whilst the design strictly follows the Web 2.0 aesthetics they resisted the temptation to add features for the sake of it and because everyone else does. Feeds for tracking jobs posted in a category or city would be useful though.

Both mach du das and Beeings have to compete against 800-pound gorilla My-Hammer but might fill a niche for freelancer or for matching tasks which not necessarily require a trained professional.
