Construktiv Launches News Aggregator Scouty

Scouty is a new news and blog search engine which scans various news portals and about 2000 blogs and comes fresh out of the labs of Construktiv GmbH, the makers of Mister Wong, mypictr, websnapr, pixer.us or popuri.us.

The site aggregates stories from various news portals and about 2000 blogs and makes them searchable, users can monitor various topics or search terms, assemble a customised mix of news sources they want to track and grab the results via RSS, an e-mail newsletter or a widget.

This is all fine but considering that Construkitv has a proven record of successfully filling niches both in the German (Mister Wong) and the international (e.g. mypictr) Web 2.0 space Scouty is disappointing and seems like a half-baked and rather uninspired quick shot to claim some territory in the search space.
