Cumonian Launches New Marketplace

screenshot cumonian

Cumonian is a new marketplace for selling or exchanging stuff. While the idea to sell or exchange items is not new on the web, Cumonian provides an interesting and novel approach which might fill a niche:

The marketplace can be used freely for all sorts of negotiations between traders and for any kind of goods.

If a transaction doesn’t involve cash flows (i.e. an item is exchanged for one or more other items) the transaction if free. Cumonian only charges for transactions if an item is purchased (1 Euro for purchases up to 10 Euro, 2 Euro for purchases up to 50 Euro, etc.)

Since there are no costs involved in putting things up and since items can be made available any period of time there are many use cases where Cumonian might become preferable to eBay, Hitflip or other marketplaces.

At the same time this might backfire and turn out as a magnet for random junk people just want to get rid of, so over time the implicit time costs for matching up with users and negotiating with them should increase.

Cumonian is developed by Paul Piper. He lives in Heuchelheim.
