Mediap A Platform For People In The Media Industry

mediap is a new platform for people in the media industry to network and promote themselves.

Free lance journalists, photographers, graphic designers or bloggers often are brilliant at their job but not so much at social networking, making themselves known to potential clients and self marketing. mediap wants to fill this gap.

Users can create a simple profile page providing information about themselves, their core competencies, topics of interest, contacts, etc. They also can create or join groups or upload photos and videos.

Publishers and agencies often have to rely on word of mouth recommendations when searching for the best canditate for a job, mediap lets them search for talent in a structured way. “Never in history of mankind it was so easy to find the best employees and form an educated opinion on their capabilities online.”

mediap publicly launched on Tuesday (announcement in German) and is developed by Munich based Patrick Gruban. Currently the service is free, premium features will be added at some point. The site is available in German only.
