99Moments is a cute Mashup which just launched that lets you gather your moments in a socially shared timeline.
The idea is simple. You can add and publish events which are displayed in a public timeline which leverages MIT’s Simile library. Timeline events can be categorized and annotated with text, videos, images and Google Maps coordinates. You also can tag events to support the search of others looking for similar topics or comment and rate items to codetermine the popularity.
Timeline events also can contain other timeline events which are displayed in their very own timeline so groups can work together on events or use it to plan and organize events.
99Moments currently supports English and German, but this is an early release and more languages, multilinguality, an inbound instant messaging system and other features should be implemented soon.
